Spatial association network structure characteristics and driving mechanisms of coordination development between China's digital economy and urban-rural integration

Abstract
Clarifying the temporal and spatial evolution laws and spatial correlation network of the coordinated development of the digital economy and urban-rural integration is of great significance for comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and achieving common prosperity in both urban and rural areas.This study comprehensively employs coupling coordination degree model,social network analysis,and QAP analysis methods to reveal the structural characteristics and driving mechanisms of the spatial correlation network of the coordinated development of China's digital economy and urban-rural integration from 2013 to 2023.The research findings are as follows:1)There are significant inter-provincial differences in the level of digital economy development and a significant polarization phenomenon in the level of urban-rural integration.The coordinated development level of the two shows an upward trend,and the coordination relationship has improved from mild imbalance to approaching imbalance,presenting a distribution pattern of"higher in the east and lower in the west".2)The spatial correlation network of the digital economy and the coordinated development of urban-rural integration has become increasingly close,generally presenting a spatial pattern of"dense in the east and sparse in the west,strong in the east and weak in the west".From the overall characteristics,the network density shows a fluctuating change,with the end value slightly higher than the initial value.The network correlation degree remains at 1,indicating that the spatial correlation network maintains strong connectivity.From the individual characteristics,Beijing and the regions of Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai occupy the core position in the network and play the role of intermediary and bridge,the provinces in the northeastern region and the western region are in a relatively marginal position.3)From the perspective of network roles and functions,this spatial correlation network forms four sections:net benefit,net overflow,broker,and bidirectional overflow.The spatial transmission mechanism between the sections has gradient characteristics.4)Geographical spatial proximity,economic development differences,industrial structure differences,and opening-up differences exert a positive driving effect on the spatial correlation network.The investment-driven differences generally have a positive impact and pass the significance test in most years,the government's macro-control differences show a negative effect,the impact of financial development differences appear a phased characteristics.关键词
