Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the preventive and therapeutic value of ear acupuncture point pressure combined with ondansetron in reducing postoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV)after laparoscopic cholecystectomy.Methods:A total of 225 patients scheduled for laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC)were recruited from Wuhu Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine between September 2022 and April 2024.They were randomly divided into three groups:control group(no special intervention),ondansetron group(intravenous infusion of ondansetron during surgery),and combined therapy group(ondansetron plus ear acupuncture point pressure after surgery),each comprising 75 patients.The incidence and severity of PONV,postoperative treatment outcomes,pain scores,hospitalization duration,and patient satisfaction were compared among the three groups.Results:There was a statistically significant difference in the incidence of PONV among the three groups(P<0.05)among the three groups,and the combined therapy group had a significantly lower incidence of grade Ⅲ PONV compared with the other two groups(P<0.05).Differences in headache and dizziness were statistically significant(P<0.05)among the three groups,with significantly fewer cases in the combined therapy group than those in the other two groups(P<0.05).Patient satisfaction differed significantly among the three groups(P<0.05),with the highest satisfaction rate in the combined therapy groupt(97.3%)than that in the control group(84.0%).Conclusion:Ear acupuncture point pressure combined with ondansetron can reduce the incidence of PONV after LC,decrease adverse reactions such as postoperative headache and dizziness,and improve patient satisfaction after LC.关键词
