Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between uterine fibroids and age,blood pressure,blood glucose,blood lipids,and body mass index(BMI).Methods A total of 33,931 patients diagnosed with uterine fibroids at the health management center of The First Hospital Affiliated to the Army Medical University from January 2016 to December 2025 were enrolled as the case group,and 143,323 individuals without uterine fibroids who underwent health examinations during the same period were selected as the control group.Measurements including blood pressure,fasting blood glucose,blood lipids[including triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)],and BMI were performed.multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the association between various factors and the occurrence of uterine fibroids.Results Compared with the control group,the case group had a significantly older age,with a statistically significant difference(t=100.06,P<0.01).The proportions of abnormal blood pressure,blood glucose,blood lipids,and BMI in the case group were all higher than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(χ2 values ranging from 12.709 to 1,392.128,P<0.01).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that older age,high BMI,hypertension,and high TC were risk factors for uterine fibroids(OR values ranging from 1.101 to 17.985,P<0.01),while hyperglycemia,high TG,low HDL-C,and high LDL-C were not independent influencing factors(P>0.05).Conclusion Older age,hypertension,high total cholesterol,and increased BMI are independent risk factors for the occurrence of uterine fibroids.关键词
