Manufacturing Location Restructuring Driven by Artificial Intelligence

Abstract
The traditional spatial economic theory is difficult to fully explain the new characteristics of the evolution of spatial economic pattern driven by emerging factors such as intelligent technology.Based on the theoretical framework of New Spatial Eco-nomics,this paper systematically explains the influence mechanism of intelligent technology on manufacturing location through theo-retical analysis and numerical simulation.The results show that:in terms of direct mechanism,the transaction cost saving mecha-nism of intelligent technology drives agglomeration through the positive feedback cycle of income effect and the effect of industrial product price index,while the strengthening mechanism of knowledge spillover promotes the rise of critical trade freedom and delays the process of agglomeration.In terms of indirect mechanism,the direction of the qualities of space governance mechanism depends on its impact on the core-periphery quality gap.Inter-regional governance delays agglomeration by narrowing the gap,while intra-regional governance accelerates agglomeration by widening the gap.The research shows that the net effect of intelligent technology on the location decision of manufacturing industry depends on the balance of power between the above agglomeration drive and disper-sion inhibition.The research conclusion provides an important theoretical basis and policy enlightenment for the differentiated layout of intelligent technology,the optimization of qualities of space governance,and the realization of high-quality manufacturing ag-glomeration and regional coordinated development.关键词
