Biological characteristics and modern research progress of Selaginella plants
摘要
Abstract
Selaginella belonging to the family Selaginellaceae within the class Lycopodiopsida of the division Pteridophyta,has a long history of application as a traditional Chinese medicinal herb and is widely distributed in China.Modern research has re-vealed that plants of this genus contain chemical constituents such as flavonoids,acetylenic phenols,and phenylpropanoids,exhib-iting diverse biological activities,including anti-inflammatory,anti-tumor,anti-viral,hemostatic,hypoglycemic,and immune function regulatory effects,and garnering significant attention in recent years.This review primarily summarizes the current re-search status regarding the biological characteristics,habitat distribution,chemical constituents,biological activities,pharmacoki-netics,and acute toxicology of Selaginella plants.Furthermore,it provides an outlook on future research directions in this field,aiming to offer a reference for further in-depth research and clinical applications of Selaginella plants.关键词
