断层对河流相砂体分布的控制作用研究
Study on the control effect of faults on fluvial sand body distribution:a case study of the Guantao Formation in Nanpu Oilfield,Bohai Bay Basin
摘要
Abstract
The relationship between fault activities and fluvial-facies sand-body distribution in the Guantao Formation of the Nanpu Oilfield,Bohai Bay Basin remains ambiguous, which restricts fine reservoir prediction and favorable-zone optimization.Based on core observations,logging-response analyses and 3D seismic attribute interpretation, this study identifies that the study area is dominated by a braided-river depositional system comprising sedimentary microfacies such as mid-channel bars, braided channels and floodplains. The results indicate that fault activity and its spatial variations control paleotopographic relief and depositional-system development.Segments with weak fault activity allow river channels to pass through and form continuous sand bodies. In contrast, intensely active segments generate sedimentary depressions via differential subsidence, facilitating rapid sand-body accumulation and thickness increase. The downthrown blocks of north-dipping faults and slope-break zones of south-dipping faults constitute favorable sites for sand-body enrichment.Faults control reservoir boundaries not only through structural baffles and lithologic facies changes but also determine reservoir scale and distribution patterns by modulating sand-body stacking architectures.Type Ⅰ faults primarily govern deep-layer hydrocarbon migration, whereas Type Ⅲ faults dominate the redistribution and enrichment of shallow-layer hydrocarbon reservoirs.A response-relationship model between fault activity and sand-body distribution is established, providing technical support for fine prediction and development of complex fault-block reservoirs.关键词
