Clinical Operation Specification for Abdominal Diagnosis in Traditional Chinese Medicine(Group Standard)

Abstract
Abdominal diagnosis possesses important clinical value.Nevertheless,the absence of unified operational specifications and quantitative criteria for TCM abdominal diagnosis severely restricts its clinical popularization and application.This standard is formula-ted on the basis of classical works such as Treatise on Cold Damage and Miscellaneous Diseases,combined with the achievements of mul-tiple scientific research projects and more than 30 years of clinical practice experience of Chief Physician Niu Xue'en.Its operational methods and procedures are as follows.Abdominal inspection:observe abdominal contour,complexion,skin condition,peristaltic waves,respiratory movements and other manifestations.Abdominal auscultation:listen to bowel sounds,succussion splash and other abdominal sounds.Abdominal inquiry:inquire about the nature,location,timing,inducing factors and relieving factors of abdominal discomfort.Ab-dominal palpation:adopt light-,moderate-and heavy-pressure manipulation to examine the chesthypochondrium,epigastrium,midabdo-men and lower abdomen in sequence,with key assessment of physical signs such as resistance,tenderness,throbbing,induration and succussion splash.The standard also specifies basic requirements,diagnostic indicators,and documentation guidelines for TCM abdomi-nal diagnosis,applicable to all levels and types of traditional Chinese medicine institutions,universities,and research organizations en-gaged in clinical practice,teaching,and research related to abdominal diagnosis.关键词
