Theoretical Analysis and Testing of the Efflux Viscosity of Melt-cast Explosives
摘要
Abstract
Targeting the issue that the regulation of outflow viscosity(expressed in terms of outflow time)relies on empirical engineering experience, which hinders the improvement of injection efficiency,an analytical formula for the outflow viscosity of melt-cast explosives under gravity was derived.Under the assumptions of steady, incompressible, fully developed laminar flow in a circular tube, the velocity distribution during flow is first obtained by solving the Navier-Stokes equations in cylindrical coordinates, coupled with the Ostwald-de Waele power-law non-Newtonian constitutive model. The outflow viscosity of for-mula is derived by further incorporating the relationship between flow rate and time.Experimental measurements of the outflow viscosity of a melt-cast explosive formulation were conducted at different temperatures and tube diameters, and the results were compared with the analytical formula. The results show that when the flow index in the outflow viscosity formula approa-ches unity, the relevant results are consistent with the classical Hagen-Poiseuille flow formula for Newtonian fluids, indicating that the outflow viscosity formula derived in this study for melt-cast explosives(non-Newtonian fluids)is theoretically self-con-sistent.A structural coefficient exists between the theoretical and measured outflow viscosity values. After correction with this coefficient, the deviation between the theoretical and measured outflow viscosity values is less than 3%,validating the cor-rectness of the derived outflow viscosity formula for molten explosives(non-Newtonian fluids).关键词
