Non-surgical knee-preserving technique for knee dysfunction:a preliminary study
摘要
Abstract
Objective To develop a non-surgical knee-preserving technique based on the patho-genic hypothesis that"the knee joint injury and joint instability coexist and act together",and to eval-uate its clinical efficacy in treating knee joint dysfunction.Methods A total of 12 patients with knee joint dysfunction treated between May 2016 and October 2024 were enrolled in this study,including 5 males and 7 females,aged 46 to 98 years,with a mean age of(68.17±12.33)years,and a follow-up duration ranging from 11 to 103 months.All patients were treated with non-surgical knee-preserving technique.Disease severity was assessed using the SPI(symptom,physical signs,image data)scoring system,and treatment outcomes were evaluated using the FPS(feelings of patient,physical examina-tion,supplementary examination)scoring system.Results Before treatment,12 patients were graded as severe grading according to the SPI score.After treatment,all patients achieved an excellent rating based on the FPS score,with an excellent rate of 100％,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.001).During the treatment course,patients with comorbid sleep disorders showed resolution of the condition,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The non-surgical knee-preserving technique demonstrates definitive short-term efficacy in treating knee joint dysfunction,though its medium-and long-term outcomes require further observation.The proposed pathogenic hypothesis for knee joint dysfunction is that the knee joint injury and joint instability coexist and act concomitantly.关键词
