Practical logic of rural industrial revitalization in less-developed regions:a longitudinal case study of Zixi bread

Abstract
Drawing on the integrated perspective of"state-society"relations theory and value co-creation theory,this study constructs an analytical framework of"co-creation context-co-creation action-co-creation outcome."Based on the longitudinal case of the Zixi bread industry in Jiangxi Province,it reveals how the local government and social actors jointly promote rural industrial revitalization in underdeveloped areas through collaborative co-creation.The results show that exogenous empowerment of the local government and endogenous empowerment of social actors jointly shape a co-creation pattern for rural industries.Through the iterative operation of self-driven,organizational collaboration,and partner alliance mechanisms,rural industries in underdeveloped areas undergo a staged evolution from opportunity-to brand-and then to ecosystem co-creation,enabling rural industries to leap from grassroots entrepreneurship to standardized and clustered development.Accordingly,we suggest strengthening the synergy between government empowerment and endogenous social dynamics,building capable grassroots governments,cultivating rural industries that enrich local residents in line with local conditions,and motivating farmers'aspiration for a better life to sustain long-term rural industrial growth in underdeveloped regions.关键词
