摘要
Abstract
Objective:Based on cone-beam computed tomography(CBCT)imaging data, this study systematically an-alyzed the anatomical classification and incidence of mandibular canal branches. Methods:A total of 720 CBCT image data-sets of bilateral mandibles from patients who attended the Yichang Outpatient Department,Hospital of Stomatology,Wuhan University, between January 2025 and December 2025 were collected. The incidence and classification of mandibular canal branches,as well as their positional relationships with the buccolingual cortical plates and the third molars, were analyzed. Results:Among the 720 subjects, the overall incidence of mandibular canal branches was 18.33%.The incidences of retro-molar canals, forward branches, dental canals, and buccolingual branches were 10.56%,3.61%,1.11%and 3.06%,respec-tively.The minimum distance from the retromolar canal to the cementoenamel junction of the mandibular third molar was(5.41±2.19)mm,and the minimum distance from the retromolar canal to the third molar was(5.11±2.04)mm.Conclu-sion:Mandibular canal branches are relatively common anatomical variants.Clinicians should fully recognize these anatomical variations during surgery to avoid iatrogenic injury and related complications.关键词
