茂兰喀斯特森林白鹇栖息地选择季节性差异研究
Seasonal Variation in Habitat Selection by Lophura nycthemera in Maolan Karst Forest

Abstract
To explore the habitat selection characteristics and main influencing factors of Lophura nycthemera in different seasons in the Maolan karst forest,and to reveal the seasonal habitat utilization patterns of Lophura nycthemera,and to provide scientific basis for the protection of Lophura nycthemera population,habitat management,and ecological management of the karst forest.From January 2022 to January 2023,13 transects were set up in the karst forest of the Maolan Natural Reserve,and quadrats and infrared cameras were placed in the areas with frequent wildlife activities,while control quadrats were also set up.By measuring 17 habitat parameters such as terrain,vegetation,food,and disturbance factors,the differences in habitat selection of the Lophura nycthemera in different seasons were compared and analyzed.The results showed that there was a significant seasonal differentiation in the habitat selection of Lophura nycthemera.In spring,Lophura nycthemera had a clear preference for bamboo-broadleaf mixed forests and shady slopes,and the herb cover and bare land area ratio were the main factors affecting Lophura nycthemera′ choice of habitat,the prediction accuracy of the model was 88.7%;in summer,Lophura nycthemera preferred areas with a slope≤15° and a gentle slope,and the abundance of invertebrates and slope were the main factors affecting Lophura nycthemera′ choice of habitat,the prediction accuracy of the model was 84.2%;in autumn,Lophura nycthemera preferred habitats with a slope≤15°,and the abundance of invertebrates was the main factor affecting Lophura nycthemera′ choice of habitat,the prediction accuracy of the model was 97.1%;in winter,Lophura nycthemera preferred semi-sunny and semi-shady slopes,and the abundance of invertebrates was the main factor affecting Lophura nycthemera′ choice of habitat,the prediction accuracy of the model was 89.7%.The abundance of invertebrates was a common influencing factor for the three seasons of summer,autumn,and winter.The habitat selection of Lophura nycthemera in the Maolan Natural Reserve has significant seasonal specificity and can dynamically adjust the habitat utilization strategy according to the seasons;terrain conditions and food resources are the main factors in its habitat selection.关键词
