Abstract
To investigate the effect of formulation type on the sun protection efficacy of sunscreen products,three sunscreen formulations-lotion,cream,and spray-were prepared using identical types and concentrations of chemical UV filters.The sun protection efficacy of each formulation was evaluated by determining its Sun Protection Factor(SPF)and UVA Protection Factor(PFA)values.The results showed that the lotion and cream formulations exhibited SPF and PFA values that were consistent with their theoretical values,whereas the spray formulation demonstrated significantly lower protection efficacy than expected.These findings indicate that formulation type has a substantial impact on the actual sun protection efficacy of sunscreen products and should be carefully considered during formulation design and efficacy assessment.关键词
