Effect of Different Behavioral Interventions on Adherence to Colonoscopy for Colorectal Cancer Screening:A Network Meta-analysis

Abstract
Objective:To systematically evaluate the efficacy of different behavioral interventions in improving the adher-ence rate of colonoscopy for colorectal cancer(CRC)screening,so as to provide evidence for optimizing CRC screening strategies in China.Methods:Databases including PubMed,Embase,CNKI,and Wanfang Data were searched for random-ized controlled trials published up to December 31,2024.The Cochrane Risk of Bias tool was used to assess the quality of the included studies.Bayesian network Meta-analysis was per-formed using the gemtc package in R software(version 4.4.3),with JAGS(version 4.3.0)called via the package.Results:A total of 29 studies involving 44,141 participants and 19 interventions were included.Network Meta-analysis results showed that,compared with routine health education,motivational interviewing(OR=10.36,95%CI:1.83 to 59.42),face-to-face counseling(OR=10.35,95%CI:1.88 to 56.37),and printed educational materials combined with educational vid-eos(OR=4.98,95%CI:1.15 to 21.36)significantly improved adherence to screening colonoscopy.Ranking results showed that motivational interviewing achieved the greatest improvement in adherence.Conclusion:Healthcare provider-led direct communication interventions,such as motivational interviewing and face-to-face counseling,demonstrated significant advantages in improving adherence to screening colonoscopy.However,resource allocation should be carefully planned in clinical practice.关键词
