Preparation of copper strip and foil for soaking plate

Abstract
Facing the stringent demands for core materials of soaking plates in high-power heat dissipation fields such as 5G communication,high-performance computing,and electric vehicles,conventional processes for preparing copper strip and foil materials cannot meet the requirements for soaking plates.This article elaborates on the reasons why conventional copper strip and foil materials are not suitable for soaking plate applications and introduces a process for preparing copper strip and foil materials for soaking plates using up-cast continuous casting and continuous extrusion.The raw material is Grade A cathode copper,which,after up-cast continuous casting,continuous extrusion,double-sided milling,multi-pass precision cold rolling,segmented annealing in a bell furnace and an air cushion furnace,and online cleaning,can stably produce copper strip and foil materials with oxygen content≤4×10-6,average grain size≤0.010 mm,and conductivity≥100%IACS.After high-temperature sintering at 850 ℃,the copper strip and foil materials exhibit no blistering,no air leakage,and no deformation,meeting the requirements for vacuum packaging and long-term thermal cycling service of soaking plates.关键词
