Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis with Cardiovascular Disease Based on the"Simultaneous Treatment of the Heart and Spleen"
摘要
Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)falls under the category of"bi syndrome"in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).During its chronic progression,patients face a significantly increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease(CVD).The theory of"simultaneous treatment of the heart and spleen"holds unique value in the prevention and treatment of RA-CVD.This paper elucidates the close physiological mutual support and pathological transmission between the heart and spleen based on TCM theories of zang-xiang,the Five Elements,and meridians.It further argues that dysfunction in these two organs is pivotal to the pathogenesis of RA-CVD.Persistent RA leads to spleen deficiency impairing transport and transformation,resulting in insufficient qi and blood nourishment for the heart.Spleen deficiency with damp accumulation generates turbid pathogens internally,evolving into phlegm-congestion and blood stasis that mutually entangle,damaging the heart vessels and triggering"heart bi syndrome".Based on this,the therapeutic principles of"strengthening the spleen and boosting qi to nourish deficiency and support the heart"and"resolving phlegm and removing stasis to unblock collaterals and calm the heart"are summarized.The article also introduces Xin Feng Capsules,a distinctive preparation from Xinan medicine embodying these principles.This preliminary exploration aims to provide theoretical reference for TCM treatment of RA-CVD.关键词
