Abstract
Due to early-stage construction, insufficient parking provision, limited spatial resources and the continuous growth of motor vehicle ownership, old urban areas of Beijing are confronted with prominent contradictions between parking supply and demand, which restricts urban renewal and improvement of human settlement quality.Taking Yongdingmenwai Sub-district as an empirical case, this paper comprehensively sorts out the current status of motor-vehicle and non-motor-vehicle parking, and identifies key problems including large residential parking shortage,spatial-temporal mismatch of parking resources and disordered on-street parking.Residential parking demand is quantified, and residential parking space requirements are predicted by means of motor-vehicle ownership analysis and parking-standard index method.Short-term,medium-term and long-term allocation targets are established.Parking resources are fully explored and integrated.Specific implementation schemes are proposed from the per-spectives of stock-resource revitalization,on-street parking regulation and incremental potential tapping, and sup-porting safeguards and long-term governance mechanisms are constructed. The research outcomes can provide theo-retical reference and practical support for comprehensive static-traffic governance in Beijing's capital core area and similar old urban districts nationwide.关键词
