美国左翼政治"特朗普化"的主要表现与影响因素
The Major Manifestations and Influencing Factors of the"Trumpification"of American Left-Wing Politics
摘要
Abstract
Since 2016,Donald Trump,as the Republican candidate,has run for President of the United States three times and won twice.The political impact of his campaigns and administrations has triggered varying degrees of"Trumpification"within American left-wing politics,primarily manifested in the policy ideas and agendas of left-wing parties(including the Democratic Party and the American Communist Party).This"Trumpification"consists in the strengthening of economic issues and the contraction of cultural issues within these parties'policy agendas—namely,the abandonment of the neoliberal economic policies they have traditionally emphasized,and the"de-radicalization"of the so-called"progressive values"such as gender equality,open borders,immigration freedom,and racial diversity.Compared with the higher degree of"Trumpification"exhibited by the American Communist Party,that of the Democratic Party is characterized by passivity and limitations.The contributing factors to this passivity include breakthroughs achieved by the Republican Party in its voter base,party building,and think-tank support,as well as the lack of internal cohesion within the Democratic Party caused by the short-term irreconcilability of its intra-party factions.The limitations are reflected in the Democratic Party's selective following of,or partial concessions to,Republican policy ideas and agendas.Meanwhile,the facts that the Republican Party has yet to establish an absolute electoral advantage domestically,that the governance effectiveness of the Trump administration remains in question,and that the long-term penetrative trend of the so-called"progressive values"into American society has not come to an end,constitute the principal factors constraining the"Trumpification"of the Democratic Party.The"Trumpification"of both the Republican Party and American left-wing politics heralds the arrival of a new political cycle that will reshape America's policy ideas and policy agendas.关键词
