Empowering Inter-Embedded Communities with Digital Technology to Forge the Sense of Community for Chinese Nation:Mechanisms,Challenges and Pathways

Abstract
Digital technology injects new driving forces into forging the sense of community for Chinese nation within inter-embedded communities and underpins the modernization of grassroots governance in ethnic-minority regions.Drawing on the theory of public-value generation mechanisms,this paper builds an analytical framework to unpack three logics behind digitaltechnology empowerment for inter-embedded communities:the identity-strengthening logic shifting from heterogeneity to shared identity,the system-optimization logic shifting from fragmentation to integration,and the practice-synergy logic shifting from singularity to pluralism.It further conducts a dialectical analysis of risks and obstacles impeding the cultivation of the sense of community for Chinese nation in inter-embedded communities.These risks in-clude structural information imbalance induced by algorithmic bias,interpersonal alienation among community members brought by digital technologies,eroded multi-party consultative governance under technological power,and capacity strati-fication among community members resulting from the digital divide.Accordingly,we should build a comprehensive inte-gration-oriented practical system,construct virtual-physical integrated spaces for community communication,optimize hu-man-machine collaborative community governance,and improve multi-dimensional community guarantee mechanisms.These measures provide theoretical insights and practical references for fostering a strong sense of community for the Chi-nese nation within inter-embedded communities.关键词
