性成熟期凉山黑绵羊大小睾丸发育、睾酮含量的差异分析
Analysis on Differences in Testicular Development and Testosterone Content between Large and Small Testes of Liangshan Black Sheep during Sexual Maturity

Abstract
In the study,sexually mature Liangshan black sheep with large testes(combined bilateral weight＞120.00 g)and small testes(combined bilateral weight＜75.00 g)were selected as research subjects.Using morphological measurements,he-matoxylin-eosin(H&E)staining,and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),we characterized the differential features of testicular morphological development and testosterone synthesis levels between the two groups,and explored the intrinsic corre-lation between testicular morphology and testosterone production,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the selective breeding of Liangshan black sheep rams.The results demonstrated that the bilateral testes developed normally and symmetrically in the sexually mature Liangshan black sheep.The testis index,weight,volume,and longitudinal,transverse,and vertical di-ameters were significantly higher in the large-testis group than in the small-testis group(P＜0.01).Histologically,differences in cell distribution and arrangement were ob-served between the two groups.Furthermore,testicular tes-tosterone content was significantly higher in the large-testis group compared to the small-testis group(P＜0.01).Tes-tosterone content was positively correlated with testis index,weight,volume,and all three diametric measurements.Col-lectively,these findings indicate that developmental diver-gence in testicular size exists within the population of sexual-ly mature Liangshan black sheep.The positive correlation between testosterone content and all morphological parame-ters suggests that enhanced testicular development is associ-ated with elevated testosterone synthesis levels.关键词
