Identity Crisis of the Proletariat Under Platform Capitalism
摘要
Abstract
Identity politics,as one of the significant political ideologies in contemporary Western capitalist society,has given rise to the pressing issue of identity recognition.Identity politics fosters multiple identities while weakening class identity.The overemphasis on diverse identities at the expense of class identity,will trigger an identity crisis in proletarian identity.The complicity of platform capitalism further exacerbates this crisis.On the one hand,digital platforms construct multiple identities,which dilute the proletarian class consciousness,erase class identification,and ultimately lead to the loss of revolutionary subjectivity.On the other hand,platforms associate the proletarian production and consumption behaviors with these diverse identities through algorithmic mechanisms,trapping individuals in identity dilemmas.In light of this situation,only by grounding the analysis in Marx's class theory,dispelling the fog of identity politics,and unveiling the hidden mechanisms of platform capitalism can the reconstruction of class identity be achieved.关键词
