The Spatial Effects of Urban-Rural Integration Development in the Yangtze River Delta Driven by Multiple Factors

Abstract
Clarifying the driving effects of various factors on urban-rural integration development is crucial for achieving comprehensive and deep integration between urban and rural areas.This paper examines 27 central cities in the Yangtze River Delta region as the research subjects and employs a spatial econometric model to empirically test the driving effects of marketization level,fiscal expenditure,and informatization level on urban-rural integration development.The findings are as below.First,urban-rural integration development in the Yangtze River Delta region exhibits a high degree of spatial autocorrelation.Second,the level of marketization has a significant driving effect on urban-rural integrated development in local areas(i.e.,the city itself),but it inhibits urban-rural integration development in neighboring areas(i.e.,adjacent cities).Overall,it does not significantly drive urban-rural integration development.Third,fiscal expenditure has a suppressive effect on urban-rural integrated development in local areas,but it shows a significant driving effect on urban-rural integration development in neighboring areas.Overall,it does not significantly drive urban-rural integration development.Fourth,the level of informatization has a significant driving effect on urban-rural integration development in both local and neighboring areas.Overall,it significantly drives urban-rural integration development.Fifth,heterogeneity analysis reveals significant differences between core cities and small-medium cities in terms of the spatial spillover effects of these three types of driving factors on urban-rural integration development.The study reveals the differentiated spatial effects of multifactor-driven urban-rural integration development,providing an empirical basis for policymakers.关键词
