县域数字乡村建设对城乡融合发展的影响
The Impact of the Digital Rural Construction at the County Level on the Integrated Development of Urban and Rural Areas

Abstract
Facilitating the integrated development of urban and rural areas in counties through the digital rural construction(DRC)is an inherent requirement for building a new type of urban-rural relationship and accelerating the realization of urban-rural common prosperity in the digital era.Using the data of county-level digital village index in 2019-2020,this paper empirically examines the overall and sub-domain effect of the DRC on urban-rural integration and how the effect takes place,the heterogeneous effect across regions and among groups,and the spatial spillover effect.The results show that the DRC at the county level is positively associated with urban-rural integration,while the same is true for rural digital infrastructure,digital economy,digital governance,and digital life.The DRC at the county level can promote the integration of urban and rural areas through the effect of industrial structure optimization and entrepreneurship stimulation in new bussiness forms.The DRC has a double threshold effect on urban-rural integration based on the county level economic development.This study also shows that for the countries in western region,not recognized as pilot counties and counties not near the provincial capital city,the DRC has a greater impact on urban-rural integration.The DRC can also generate a siphon effect on the urban-rural integrated development in neighboring counties.These findings provide strong evidence for the policy design aimed at promoting the integrated development of urban and rural areas through the DRC.关键词
