Effect of salpingectomy or tubal ligation combined with interstitial suture on the incidence of interstitial pregnancy after subsequent pregnancy

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of laparotomy or laparoscopic salpingectomy or tubal ligation combined with interstitial suture on the incidence of interstitial pregnancy after subsequent pregnancy.Methods A prospective study was conducted on 216 patients who underwent salpingectomy or tubal ligation at Nanning Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital and Pingguo People's Hospital from February 2017 to February 2022.The patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group by random number table,with 108 cases in each group.The control group were given conventional salpingec-tomy or tubal ligation,while based on which,the observation group were given additional"8"-shaped interstitial suture of the fallopian tube.And then,operation time,intraoperative blood loss,and hospital stay were recorded.Serum levels of anti-Müllerian hormone(AMH),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),and estradiol(E2)were meas-ured at admission,at 3 and 6 months after surgery.In addition,postoperative pregnancy outcomes were followed up.Results The operation time in the observation group was significantly longer than that in the control group([32.48±2.71]min vs[26.83±2.58]min,P＜0.001).There were no statistically significant differences in intraoperative blood loss or hospital stay between the two groups(P＞0.05).No statistically significant differences were observed in serum AMH,FSH,LH and E2 lev-els at any time point between the two groups(P＞0.05).In the control group,59 patients achieved pregnancy after surgery,among whom 11(10.19％,11/108)developed interstitial pregnancy.In the observation group,57 patients achieved pregnan-cy,with 0 case of interstitial pregnancy,the incidence of postoperative interstitial tubal pregnancy in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group,and difference was statistically significant(P＜0.001).Conclusion Lapa-rotomy or laparoscopic salpingectomy or tubal ligation combined with interstitial suture can effectively reduce the incidence of interstitial pregnancy after subsequent pregnancy without adverse effects on ovarian function and hormone levels,and is worthy of clinical application and promotion.关键词
