The Symbiotic Mechanism and Contemporary Pathways of Agricultural Cultural Heritage and the Chinese National Community

Abstract
Agricultural cultural heritage serves as material evidence of the long-term evolution of Chinese farming civilization,as well as a historical crystallization formed through ethnic migrations,technological exchanges,and joint territorial development among all ethnic groups.Taking agricultural cultural heritage as an entry point to examine the Chinese national community helps break through the limitations of existing research that overemphasizes cultural symbols and individual case studies.It grounds the formation of the Chinese national community in observable and traceable processes including crop dissemination,technology diffusion,ecological adaptation,and regional integration,and offers a novel analytical perspective for the coordinated advancement of agricultural cultural heritage conservation,rural revitalization,and fostering a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.Accordingly,this study constructs an analytical framework of"historical symbiosis-contemporary collaboration"and conducts discussions from two dimensions:heritage formation and conservation & development.The research finds that from a historical perspective,ethnic migrations drive the agglomeration of homogeneous agricultural heritage within regional blocks and its cross-regional spread along river basins.Ethnic integration facilitates continuous adaptation and restructuring of diverse production technologies in border zones,thereby generating compound agricultural cultural heritage that transcends the experience of a single ethnic group.Therefore,the typological structure and spatial distribution of agricultural cultural heritage constitute crucial clues for revealing the historical process of exchanges,interactions and integration among all ethnic groups.From a contemporary perspective,heritage conservation encourages all ethnic groups to jointly assume ecological responsibilities via collective stewardship of forests,water sources,farmlands and biological resources.Heritage development transforms local heritage into practical resources for regional cooperation and benefit sharing through brand building,tourism operation,joint inscription and model promotion.Consequently,agricultural cultural heritage not only acts as spatial testimony to the historical formation of the Chinese national community,but also functions as a vital practical carrier for all ethnic groups to jointly protect resources,share development gains and deepen communal identity in the present era.关键词
