Evaluation of Rural Settlement Construction in Anhui Province and Their Influence Factors

Abstract
[Objective]Focusing on the micro village scale,this study evaluates in a scientific way the short-term stage-specific characteristics and core influence factors of rural settlement construction in Anhui Province,providing a basis for developing precise and differentiated strategies for the rural settlement environment improvement.[Method]By selecting 200 villages in Anhui Province as the research sample,the study compares their levels of construction from 2023 to 2024,and constructs a rural settlement environment evaluation metrics.Combination weighting method,Lorenz curve,Gini coefficient and optimal parameter geographic detector are used to analyse the stage-specific level,structural differences and influencing factors of rural settlement enviroment creation.[Result]1)The development of rural settlement environments in Anhui Province has seen some improvement,yet the internal disparities among these settlements have further widened.The comprehensive scores for 2023 and 2024 range from 0.223 0 to 0.522 2 and 0.242 8 to 0.699 1,with mean values of 0.351 9 and 0.398 6,respectively;2)In terms of dimensions,regional imbalance in public service facilities is more pronounced in the short term,regional differences in production support conditions are relatively small,and improvements in cultural spaces are most noticeable in the short term;and 3)Among the influence factors,road network density,distance to the county seat and vegetation index have strong explanatory power,and their interactions are generally stronger than the effects of single factors.[Conclusion]The rural settlement environments in Anhui Province show a general trend of improvement,but regional and village-level disparity continues to widen.The approach to improving the environment is shifting from mere environmental amelioration to coordinated optimisation,influenced by the coupling effect of location,site and development intensity as well as terrain patterns.Therefore,to optimize the rural settlement environment,it is necessary to implement zoning and classification,precisely execute policies,and coordinate elements to reduce regional and village disparities in line with regional resource endowments and development shortcomings,thereby promoting high-quality improvement of rural settlement environments in Anhui Province.关键词
