Abstract
In order to systematically evaluate the diagnostic testing capability of veterinary system laboratories in Shaanxi Province,the results of proficiency testing(PT)programs conducted in the province from 2023 to 2025 were analyzed.The results showed that the accuracy rates of samples from municipal and county-level veterinary system laboratories were 99.86%and 93.21%,respectively,while the average values across the different items ranged from 83.88%to 100%,with relatively lower rates being 83.88%for antibody detection for avian influenza virus(AIV)and 86.67%for foot-and-mouth disease virus(FMDV)type O.In conclusion,the testing capability of the laboratories was relatively high in general;however,that of municipal laboratories exceeded that of county-level counterparts,yet some county-level laboratories showed unstable performance and significant shortcomings in semi-quantitative tests.It was recommended that the PT program should serve as an opportunity to strengthen staffing and upgrade equipment of the laboratories,establish and improve management systems for supplier/reagent evaluation and internal audits,and continuously enhance staff training and assessment,so as to comprehensively improve the testing capability and management of the laboratories.关键词
