Logistic Regression Analysis of Postoperative Complications and Their Influencing Factors in Lipoabdominoplasty

Abstract
Objective To explore the incidence and independent risk factors of complications after lipoabdominoplasty.Methods A total of 244 patients who underwent lipoabdominoplasty at the hospital between April 2020 and May 2024 were selected as the research subjects.Data on the patients'age,body mass index(BMI),smoking history,total liposuction volume,operation duration and complications were collected.The patients were divided into the complication group and the non-complication group based on whether they developed postoperative complications.Univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic Regression Analysis were performed on the aforementioned variables between the two groups to identify the independent predictive value of each variable for the occurrence of overall postoperative complications.Results Among the 244 patients in this group,the incidence of mild postoperative complications(including low back pain,hypotension,seroma,incision dehiscence,incision fat liquefaction,incision infection,and intermuscular thrombosis in the lower leg)was 32.3%,and the incidence of severe postoperative complications(including severe seroma,flap necrosis,incision infection,incision fat liquefaction,and atelectasis)was 6.2%.Univariate analysis showed statistically significant differences in age,BMI,and liposuction volume between the two groups(P＜0.05),while no significant differences were found in smoking history or operative duration(P＞0.05).Multivariate Logistic Regression Analysis demonstrated that age,BMI,and liposuction volume were independent risk factors for postoperative overall complications(P＜0.05),whereas smoking history and operative duration exerted no independent effects(P＞0.05).Conclusion lipoabdominoplasty is relatively safe,and most complications are mild.After adjusting confounding factors,age,BMI and liposuction volume are independent risk factors for postoperative complications,which can be applied to preoperative screening of high-risk patients and individualized perioperative risk counseling.关键词
