Abstract
Against the backdrop of sustained substitution of natural fibers by synthetic fibers,the proportion of natural fibers in textile raw materials has been declining.However,whether their industrial functions have simultaneously weakened remains underexamined.Using China's national input-output ta-bles from 2002 to 2023,this paper consolidates the cotton,wool,and bast/silk textile sectors into the natural fiber textile industry,with the synthetic fiber textile industry as a reference.Employing input-out-put analysis,it examines the evolution of forward and backward industrial linkages.The findings reveal that although the value-added proportion of this industry in the national economy has declined,its influ-ence and sensitivity coefficients have remained stable,indicating that its pivotal role in the industrial chain has not been eroded.Overall,the sector exhibits a pattern of"shrinking scale yet value restructu-ring",with its development logic shifting from traditional scale-driven expansion to a quality-and high-value-added orientation.It remains a foundational industry underpinning the upgrade and stability of Chi-na's textile chain.关键词
