摘要
Abstract
This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of astragalus extract(AE)on growth performance, antioxidant capacity, and intestinal microbiota of broilers.A total of three hundred 1-day-old white-feathered broilers were randomly assigned to a control group and four treatment groups, each consisting of 4 replicates of 15 birds each. The 5 groups were fed diets supplemented with 0%(control group),0.05%,0.1%,0.15%,and,0.2%of AE,respectively. The experiment lasted for 42d.Results showed that:(1)Compared with control group,0.15%and 0.2%AE groups had significantly higher body weight at 42 d and ADG during periods d22~d42 and d1~d42,and significantly lower F/G in phase d22~d42(P<0.05).No significant differences in growth performance parameters were observed between 0.15%and 0.2%groups(P>0.05).(2)Hepatic T-AOC activity in 0.1%,0.15%,and 0.2%groups was significantly higher and MDA content was significantly lower than control group(P<0.05).SOD activity in 0.15%and 0.2%groups was significantly higher than control group(P<0.05).(3)The Lactobacillus count in cecal content of 0.1%,0.15%,and 0.2%groups was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with control and 0.05%groups,0.15%and 0.2%groups showed significant increase in Bifidobacterium count and significant decrease in Escherichia coli count in cecal content(P<0.05).In conclusion,AE can improve growth performance, enhance liver antioxidant capacity, and modulate the intestinal microbiota of broilers. The recommended supplemental level of AE in broilers'diet is 0.15%.关键词
