Relationship between abnormal lipid metabolism and thymus-related diseases and the clinical intervention strategies

Abstract
Abnormal lipid metabolism has emerged as a major clinical challenge threatening the body's metabolic and immune homeostasis.The subsequent imbalance of the"immune-metabolic axis"serves as the pathological foundation for the occurrence and development of thymus-related diseases.Intra-thymic lipid deposition not only drives premature fatty involution of the thymus and the disruption of central immune tolerance,but is also a core mechanism that induces the malignant invasion of thymic epithelial tumors(TETs)and exacerbates the severity of myasthenia gravis(MG).This article focuses on the relationship between abnormal lipid metabolism and thymus-related diseases,elaborating on a multi-target intervention strategy centering on lipid regulation,combined with weight management,novel dual-target metabolic modulators,peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor(PPAR)agonists,PCSK9 inhibitors,and gut microbiome nutrition.By reducing lipotoxicity to repair target organs and restore immune homeostasis,this strategy aims to break through the bottlenecks of traditional therapies,providing a novel perspective for the diagnosis,treatment and management of thymus-related diseases.关键词
