Study on the Impact of Fiscal Subsidies on Medical and Health Service Capacity

Abstract
Objective To investigate the impact of fiscal subsidies on the capacity of medical and health services,and provide a basis for optimizing fiscal health expenditures.Methods Using panel data of 31 provinces and autonomous regions from 2013 to 2022,empirical analysis was conducted with both the baseline regression model and the threshold effect model.Results In the baseline regression model,the coefficient of fiscal subsidies was 0.032,showing significance at the 1％level.When the aging rate of the population served as the threshold variable,a double threshold existed between these two factors,and when economic development was the threshold variable,a single threshold was observed.Conclusion Fiscal subsidies have a positive effect on im-proving the capacity of medical and health services.Governments should not only increase fiscal subsidies but also optimize the al-location system of fiscal subsidies to enhance domestic medical and health service capabilities.关键词
