Research progress on population characteristics and host location of Frankliniella occidentalis
摘要
Abstract
Frankliniella occidentalis as a worldwide invasive pest,has caused significant damage to economic crops such as vegetables,fruits,and ornamental plants since its introduction into China.However,the long-term and extensive use of chemical insecticides has led to increasingly prominent issues,including environmental pollution,excessive pesticide resi-dues in agricultural products,and enhanced pest resistance.Research on the population characteristics and host localiza-tion of Frankliniella occidentalis can lay the foundation for precise pest control,improved control efficacy,and the devel-opment of novel management strategies.This paper systematically reviews the population characteristics of Frankliniella occidentalis,including its life habits,reproductive traits,spatial distribution,and factors influencing its growth and devel-opment.In addition,based on an overview of its host selection behavior and current research on olfactory-related pro-teins,this review focuses on the behavioral regulation of Frankliniella occidentalis by semiochemicals and their applica-tions,such as the regulatory effects of plant volatiles on host selection and the role of insect pheromones in behavioral reg-ulation.It is expected that further indepth studies on population characteristics,host selection and olfactory mechanisms,as well as enhanced development and application of semiochemicals,which will provide a theoretical basis for the con-struction of a green pest management technology system for F.occidentalis based on behavioral regulation.关键词
