Construction and Application Effect Evaluation of a Systematic Management Model for Intravenous Infusion Safety in Hospitalized Children

Abstract
Objective To construct a systematic management model for intravenous infusion safety in hospitalized children based on physician-pharmacist-nurse collaboration,and to evaluate its application effect.Methods Guided by system theory and risk management theory,a systematic management model for intravenous infusion safety in children was constructed through literature review,expert consultation,and current situation investigation.The model comprised five dimensions:risk warning,process optimization,personnel training,quality monitoring,and family collaboration(with physician-pharmacist-nurse collaboration strengthened in each dimension).A total of 200 hospitalized children receiving intravenous infusion therapy from January to June 2024 and another 200 from July to December 2024 were selected as the control group and observation group,respectively.Hospitalized children in the control group received the traditional intravenous infusion management model,while hospitalized children in the observation group received the constructed systematic safety management model based on physician-pharmacist-nurse collaboration.The incidence of intravenous infusion adverse events(including puncture-related and medication-related adverse events),the pass rates of nursing operations and medication order review,and family satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results The incidence of intravenous infusion adverse events in the observation group was 3.50%,which was significantly lower than 15.00%in the control group,the incidences of both puncture-related and medication-related adverse events were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The pass rates of nursing operations and medication order review in the observation group were 98.50%and 99.50%,respectively,which were significantly higher than 91.00%and 93.00%in the control group(P<0.05).Family satisfaction in the observation group was 97.00%,which was significantly higher than 88.00%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The systematic management model for intravenous infusion safety in hospitalized children based on physician-pharmacist-nurse collaboration can improve the professional knowledge of medical staff,significantly reduce the incidence of intravenous infusion adverse events,enhance the quality of nursing operations and family satisfaction,and ensure the safety of intravenous infusion in children.关键词
