Advances in the Rational Use of Ciprofol in Non-Operating Room Anesthesia

Abstract
Ciprofol is a novel gamma-aminobutyric acid type A receptor agonist independently developed in China.It is 4～5 times as potent as propofol and offers advantages including less pronounced cardiovascular and respiratory depression,a lower incidence of injection pain,and smooth recovery.It has gradually become an important option for sedation and anesthesia outside the operating room.This article reviews the mechanism of action and pharmacokinetic characteristics of ciprofol and its effects on the respiratory and cardiovascular systems.By summarizing ciprofol regimens used for non-operating room procedures,including painless endoscopy,endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography,fiberoptic bronchoscopy,catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation,and pediatric ambulatory dental surgery,this article identifies the current limitations of its clinical use and provides a reference for sedation and anesthesia with ciprofol outside the operating room.关键词
