Abstract
[Purpose/Significance]A systematic review of think tank research in China,revealing its de-velopmental trajectory and structural characteristics,helps gain a comprehensive understanding of the field's de-velopment trends and clarify future directions,and is of great significance for the construction of new-type think tanks with Chinese characteristics.[Method/Process]Based on 935 articles published in Think Tank Theory and Practice from 2016 to 2024,776 valid samples were obtained after preprocessing.The LDA topic model was em-ployed to identify research themes.Research methods,levels,and fields were analyzed using a combination of Large Language Model(LLM)processing,computer-automated identification,and manual coding according to the classification framework,offering a systematic analytical approach to examine the current state of think tank research.[Result/Conclusion]The current research themes can be summarized into five categories:Science and technology strategy,international communication,think tank construction,policy and diplomacy,and operational mechanisms.The research methods are predominantly case studies and rational speculation(collectively account-ing for 54.9%),with insufficient application of empirical methods.The research level heavily focuses on the tac-tical layer(67.5%),while the strategic and operational layers are relatively weak.The research fields are highly concentrated on politics and policy(48.8%),with insufficient attention to think tank development in sub-fields such as urban development and regional economics.Future research should promote methodological innovation,strengthen level coordination,broaden the scope of research fields,and construct a more mature research system for new-type think tanks with Chinese characteristics.关键词
