Building a Powerful Education Country with Chinese Characteristics:Confidence Foundation,Practical Challenges and Pathways Forward

Abstract
Building a powerful education country that leads in vocational education is a systematic outcome of the high-quality development of vocational education.Fully establishing such a leading vocational education-focused powerful education country is the strategic goal and core choice for China's vocational education reform and development in the new era.The construction of a powerful education country with Chinese characteristics is underpinned by profound confidence:path confidence comes from the historical inevitability,public support and practical effectiveness of the socialist vocational education path with Chinese characteristics;theoretical confidence stems from the creative integration of Marxism educational and talent theories with the development practices of Chinese vocational education;institutional confidence relies on the unique advantage of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics in pooling resources to develop vocational education;cultural confidence originates from the value dimension and contemporary spirit of traditional Chinese vocational education wisdom.At present,advancing the building of a powerful education country with Chinese characteristics faces practical challenges:the coexistence of confidence and doubt,the disconnection between cognition and practice,the fragmentation between the whole and parts,the gap between reality and goals,and the intertwining of opportunities and challenges.Therefore,we must focus on five key areas to make efforts and achieve breakthroughs:strengthen confidence,follow principles,make scientific plans to draw a bright blueprint;enhance learning,deepen understanding,enrich theories to consolidate the ideological foundation;anchor goals,refine tasks,strengthen supporting pillars to lay a solid foundation;highlight key priorities,enhance coordination,integrate advantages to release strong impetus;root in local reality,draw on international experience,promote mutual progress to build the broader consensus circle.These measures will provide strong support for steadily advancing the building of a powerful education country with Chinese characteristics.关键词
