温阳理气消胀法治疗慢性心力衰竭合并胃肠功能不全的临床疗效观察
Clinical efficacy of Wenyang Liqi Xiaozhang acupoint application on chronic heart failure complicated with gastrointestinal dysfunction

Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Wenyang Liqi Xiaozhang acupoint application(温阳理气消胀敷贴)combined with conventional Western medicine in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF)complicated with gastrointestinal dysfunction,and to explore its value in improving cardiac function,relieving gastrointestinal symptoms,and enhancing overall functional status.Methods:A total of 80 patients with CHF complicated with gastrointestinal dysfunction were admitted to Qingyang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from November 2024 to May 2025.And they were randomly assigned into an experimental group and a control group,with 40 cases in each.The control group received standardized conventional Western medical treatment,while the experimental group was additionally treated with Wenyang Liqi Xiaozhang acupoint application on the basis of the control group regimen.The treatment course in both groups was 12 days.Before and after treatment,echocardiographic parameters were compared between the two groups,including left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV),left ventricular end-systolic volume(LVESV).Meanwhile,serum N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)levels were measured,and the 6-minute walk test(6MWT)distance,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,and gastrointestinal function were evaluated.Adverse reactions and safety-related indicators during treatment were also recorded.Results:Compared with pre-treatment levels,both groups showed varying degrees of improvement in cardiac function,exercise tolerance,and TCM syndrome manifestations after treatment.Compared with the control group,the experimental group showed a more significant increase in LVEF and more marked reductions in LVEDV,LVESV after treatment,indicating further improvement in left ventricular systolic and diastolic function.In addition,the decrease in NT-proBNP levels was more pronounced in the experimental group,and the increase in 6MWT distance was greater,suggesting superior effects in reducing heart failure burden and improving exercise capacity compared with conventional Western medicine alone.Meanwhile,the experimental group demonstrated a greater reduction in TCM syndrome scores and more obvious improvement in gastrointestinal function grading,indicating that Wenyang Liqi Xiaozhang acupoint application was effective in alleviating gastrointestinal dysfunction-related symptoms such as abdominal distension,poor appetite,and nausea.No serious adverse reactions occurred in either group during treatment,and no significant abnormalities were observed in routine blood tests or liver and kidney function indices,confirming good safety profile of the therapy.Conclusion:Wenyang Liqi Xiaozhang acupoint application combined with Western medicine can further improve cardiac function,reduce NT-proBNP levels,enhance exercise tolerance,alleviate TCM syndrome manifestations,and promote improvement of gastrointestinal function in patients with CHF complicated with gastrointestinal dysfunction,with a favorable safety profile.This therapy reflects the holistic TCM concept of"simultaneous treatment of the heart and intestine"and may provide a novel integrative therapeutic strategy for patients with CHF complicated with gastrointestinal dysfunction.关键词
