Abstract
Bladder cancer,as one of the top ten malignant tumors worldwide,imposes a severe burden on human health and society.Although modern treatment methods offer certain efficacy,postoperative clinical recurrence,treatment resistance,and adverse reactions remain issues,impacting patients'quality of life and prognosis.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)emphasises a"holistic view"and focuses on"syndrome differentiation and treatment",demonstrating unique theoretical advantages and clinical application value in the prevention and treatment of tumours.Professor XU Li has summarised and refined the"three-stage and six-differentiation"for treating malignant tumours by integrating TCM and Western medicine.This paper systematically explores the application of the"three-stage and six-differentiation"in the treatment of bladder cancer.Professor XU Li posits that the core pathogenesis of bladder cancer involves deficiency of the liver,spleen,and kidney,complicated by accumulation of damp-heat,blood stasis,and toxic pathogens in the bladder,resulting in an intertwined pattern of root deficiency and branch excess.The specific application of the"three-stage and six-differentiation"in bladder cancer involves formulating therapeutic principles and methods according to stage characteristics,combined with synergistic medication based on the six-differentiation framework.Distinct treatment strategies are employed across the treatment stages,maintenance treatment stage,and palliative care stage,with dynamic herbal adjustments according to lesion location,pathological type,biochemical indicator levels,pathophysiological characteristics,syndrome pattern of deficiency and excess,and concurrent conditions,thereby achieving the unification of disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation.Furthermore,grounded in the TCM concept of"treating disease before onset",Professor XU Li has developed the"Interception"therapy,which achieves"prevention before disease onset,prevention of pathological progression upon disease occurrence,and prevention of recurrence after recovery"throughout the tumor treatment continuum.This approach emphasizes early intervention,blocking of pathological transmission,and consolidation against recurrence,fully demonstrating the forward-looking and systematic advantages of TCM in tumor prevention and management,and providing important theoretical guidance and clinical practice pathways for integrating TCM and Western medicine treatment of bladder cancer.关键词
