Abstract
Diniconazole is a new systemic triazole fungicide. In field experiments, seed dressing with diniconazole was effective in eon
trolling sorghum head smut [Sporisorium reilianum (Ktllm) Langdon et Full]. Diniconazole applied at 100 a.i. mg· kg-1 did not in
jury sorghum, and the average disease control was greater than 85%. Mixing 12.5% diniconazole WP with an appropriate amount of
water or rice soup had a better effect than treating the seed with dry WP.
