Abstract

According to the UV spectrophotometry method for measuring the total lignans content from caulis of Schisandra chinensis,the author screens out the best resin for obtaining pure lignans by calculating the adsorption and desorption rate of six types of macro porous resins. With the evaluation of the dosage of loading buffer,velocity of adsorption, the volume of distilled water and alcohol in the eluent, the writer then comes out with the best purification process for obtaining total lignans content from AB-8 macro porous resins. As the experiment reveals, in order to obtain lignin with the density of 1.511 mg/mL, the maximum loading amount is approximately 6 times to the column volume as well as distilled water and 95% alcohol takes 8 and 5 the column volume, respectively. Also,the flow rate of elution is measured as 1 mL/min. In conclusion,with this advanced purification process, the elution rate can reach as high as 75. 53%, providing us with a better way to purify lignans content from caulis of Schisandra chinensis and will be make good use in the industrial world in the future.
