Microwave absorbing property of Fe-Si-Cr alloy micropowders

Abstract
In order to get a new kind of microwave absorbing material, Fe99-xSixCr alloy micropowders were prepared using the mechanical alloying technique with Fe, Si and Cr powders as raw materials. The microstructure and microwave absorbing property of the prepared alloy micropowders were studied by XRD、 SEM and vector network analyzer. The results show that, when the microwave absorbing coating prepared from Fe99-xSixCr micropowders are 3.5mm thick, the absorbance of the coating decreases first, then increases and then decreases with increasing x value, with coating made from Fe94Si5Cr micropowder showing the lowest reflectivity. For the microwave absorbing coating prepared from Fe94Si5Cr micropowder, the valley of the reflectivity curve of coating shifts to lower frequency while the reflectivity of coating decreases with increasing coating thickness, and the reflectivity of this kind of coating reaches the lowest value of- 42.5 dB at 4.04 GHz when the coating is 4mm thick.关键词
