Effect of surface modification of BaTiO3 on the properties of BaTiO3-epoxy composites

Abstract
In order to improve the properties of BaTiO3-epoxy composite, the surface of BaTiO3 particles was modified with silane coupling agent KH550 prior to composite preparation. The surface state of BaTiO3 particles, the morphology and dielectric properties of the composite, and the peel strength between the composite and copper foil were investigated.The mechanism behind changes in the electrical and mechanical properties of the composite caused by surface modification of BaTiO3 was discussed. The results show that surface modification of BaTiO3 promotes the dispersion of BaTiO3 particles in epoxy matrix and increases the dielectric constant of the composite. The peel strength between the composite and copper foil increases by more than 30% when surface-modified BaTiO3 is used for composite preparation.关键词
