Abstract

A method was developed for determination of imidacloprid residue in fruit and vegetables by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with diode array detector (DAD). Imidacloprid in fruit and vegetable samples were extracted with acetonitrile then cleaned up with the ENVI - 18 cartridge. Imdacloprid was eluted with acetonitrile from the cartridge and detected with HPLC. The recovery of imidacolprid was from 84. 4 - 108. 6% with the RSD less than 7. 6% in the spiked matrixes. The threshold of the diction was 0. 02 -0. 05 mg/kg.
