Spatial-Temporal Changes of Rice Consumption in China
摘要
Abstract
It is of great significance to accurately grasp the change trend of grain consumption for both the promotion of coordination of grain production and consumption and ensuring food security. Taking rice as research object, spatial-temporaJ pattern of its consumption in China form 1995 to 2008 was analyzed in this paper. The results showed that grain ration of rice accounted for the highest proportion of total rice consumption and increased in study period. Demands of industrial rice had a certain increase and obvious class difference. Demands of feed grain and its proportion were relatively stable and seed and other consumption dropped. For the spatial pattern, the proportion of rice consumption continued to grow in the north of China while still lower than the south now. The western proportion was consistently higher than that of the eastern. Nevertheless, the change in inner east was more dramatic than inner west. As a whole, the spatial pattern of rice consumption in China kept stable from 1995 to 2008.关键词
