Abstract

Mg0.05Zn0.05TiO3(MZT) microwave dielectric ceramics were prepared by conventional solid state method. The effects of ZnO additive on the sintering process and dielectric properties of MgTiO3 ceramics were investigated. The results show that the sintering temperature of MgTiC>3 ceramics can be lowed, and the densification of MgTiO3 ceramics can be improved through the addition of ZnO. Moreover, the ZnO additives can effectively restrain the formation of intermediate phase MgTi2O5, and keep excellent microwave dielectric properties of MgTiO3 ceramics. The relative density of prepared MZT ceramic with 5%(mole fraction) ZnO additive sintered at 1 300 ℃ for 4 h is 96.4%, and the MZT ceramic exhibits the optimum microwave dielectric properties: εr=19.0, Q· f=21 508 GHz(7.8 GHz), tf= -16×10-6/℃.
