Drug Resistance of Escherichia Coli Strains Isolated from Animal Food

Abstract
Recently the drug resistance of pathogens and indicator bacteria in food arose attention. To analyze the drug resistance of Escherichia coli in animal food, in order to provide basis for its safety evaluation of drug resistance, through the broth microdilution antifungal susceptibility test recommended by NCCLS, a total of 319 Escherichia coli strains from animal food were examined for sensitiveness against 25 antimicrobials. The results showed that the most fre-quently observed resistant drugs were fluoroquinolones(93.00%~100%), rifampicin(98.75%), polymyxin E(75.20%) and streptomycin (75.60%). Furthermore, there were a total of 87 kinds of resistance spectrum, and all the E.coli strains showed the multi-drug resistance ability. Particularly, a few strains could resist against up to 20 antimicrobials. Because drug-resistance of the E.coli isolated from animal-deprived food are very serious, so the monitoring and control should be strengthened.关键词
