摘要

Abstract

Heavy metals are very stable in the environment and difficult to remove. It can directly or indirectly threaten human’s life and health. Biosorption is a new potential and innovative technology for metal removal and it also appears to offer a technically feasible and economically atractive approach. Orange peel is low cost,highly efficient,easy to attain,technical feasibility,engineering applicability,egeneration of biosorbents and possibility of metal recovery. So it has wide applications. The present situation on orange peel utilization for heavy metal adsorption was introduced. The adsorption mechanism,the models of analysis biosorbent capacity,and the main factor influencing the orange peel absorbent was also introduced. Moreover,the future development on the orange peel absorbent was prospected.
