Review of phaseⅠmetabolites of skatole in boar taint
摘要
Abstract
Skatole is one of the main compounds responsible for boar taint.Skatole causes acute pulmonary edema and emphysema（ABPE） in cattle.Skatole is mutagenic and a possible pulmonary carcinogen.Skatole has repulsive smell and brings about environmental pollution.For above reasons the metabolism of skatole attracted scientists from medicine,zoology,microbiology,environmental and food science.The current knowledge of skatole metabolism from the following aspects：separation and identification methods,metabolites of different organism and the metabolic pathways were summarized.关键词
