Abstract

Balanced diet is one of the important material basis to meet athelete's nutritional needs and maintain athelete's physical fitness and it can play a key role in ensuring their effective training,competition and health.In order to realize food supply situation of athletes in the dining room at Training Center,we analyzed the recipes over one month prior to Guangdong Asian Games(August 2010) due to the menus provided by the dining room.The results showed that average energy supply per athlete reached recommended daily allowance.Carbohydrate supply achieved only 53.2% of daily recommendation,while fat and protein supply were demonstrated 25% elevation over recommended daily allowances.There was a provision rich in vegetables and fruit on August.The supplies in vitamins,minerals and trace elements might basically meet the nutritional needs.However,the supply of thiamine was a little lower than daily recommendation.Based on sports nutritional rules,we put forward some improvements and conducted some intervention in non-balanced food supply.
